This is hard to do for a number of reasons. One big one is making sure the quality is good enough. There are lots of horror stories about people receiving pallet loads of stuff that is all wrong, or not receiving anything. A few years ago a client of mine put me on to a Hong Kong based company that sources & liaises with mainland factories in China. They handle price negotiations and the check for quality. I contracted them to produce 2000 ‘maternity bands’ for another client of mine. The first batch was rejected and the factory had to remake at their own cost. The second batch was good. Cost was £1.80 each plus customs and logistics etc brought it to about £2.50 ea. They sell for £12.95 (+P&P). They have sold 500+.

Difficult to say who you can trust, completely. You could start with this web site – http://www.garments.globalsources.com/gs… – Might be better to fly out there, and see for yourself.
Or, alternatively: I have a long-standing Chinese friend living in Beijing. Honest and trustworthy,(although no experience), she could be your local agent. She would be interested in getting involved in selling abroad.
