I bought several pairs of panties in my size, but the elastic waists are too tight and give me muffin top. I’ve tried stretching them but I don’t want to rip them anymore.

Any means of stretching the elastic will ruin its elasticity. Live with in or replace them.

if the elastic waists are too tight they dont fit right.
you should take them back because they can be very uncomfortable.
except that.. most stores wont accept them back because they are underwear.
and if you stretch them, it might work for that day you wear them but if you wash them theyll go back and youll have to just keep stretching them over and over again.
if its to the point where its still so tight its almost ripping… im sorry but you should try a size larger.
lose some weight, or resew them, or just buy some that are the right size

Clip each end onto a trouser hanger and leave them for a while – this should loosen the elastic !!

if you have tries streching them and it is not working then i would recommend exchanging them….. dont be ashamed underwear changes all the time i used to work at victoria’s secret and they are constantly changing the design of the underwear and the elastic is what they change the most, it is probably the same underwear you’ve bought in the past but they changed the design on them….. take them back there is nothing worst then underwear that are too tight!!!!
stretch them a little bit overnight, like on something closer to their size, that will only stretch them a little bit. then by morning the elastic will be more worn out.
Call it a lose and go get some new ones in a different brand.
Just don’t wear panties…..

do u know the coat hangers that you would use to hang up trousers? the ones that sit inside he waistline that have springy ends to fit you could leave ur panties on overnight to stretch them slightly more
They may just be a bad brand. You should probably just buy some new pairs that fit better.

Next time, buy panties that fit.
If you want to, you can pull on them and you will hear the elastic rip. That will break the tension slightly and they might be more comfortable to wear.
Cut the elastic down the seam ,insert another piece of elastic and sew the sides together. But why not buy new one that fit the waist? If they are tight in the waist they are most likely too small.
STRETCH THEM BUT NOT RIP AND PLACE OVER SOMETHING TO KEEP THEM STRETCHED FOR A BIT AND MAYBE THEY WILL COME TO SIZE, THAT OR THROW AWAY AND GET NEW!?
