each time I buy a new white bra ,eare it 1x, then wash it it’s got that smell to it. I always wash whites in hot or warm h2o & hang dry all my bras. everytime for the past 6 mos.or so now they end up w/ this horrible mold/mildew smell. I’ve tried bleaching them again, washing them w/ oxy clean, & I just dont know what else to do. the rest of the clothes in that load don’t smell like that & none of my other bras have that problem. I’m very confused as this has never been an issue throughout my life & i’m 45 yrs. old. anyone know what I can do???? HELP!!!!!

DON`T WORRY DEAR I HAVE JUST THE SOLUTION.Try pre soaking them in white vinegar overnight.
Then wash as normal and add a cup of vinegar to the wash,
Don`t worry this will not affect your other clothes in fact you will see a difference in them as well.
Put a 1/2 cup in the rinse draw. as you mentioned that you hang them to dry.
This will keep them from smelling moldy cause if clothes take a while to dry. i.e not outside then sometimes certain fabrics smell after a while.
However using vinegar will stop this problem as it neutralizes any bad odours .Hope this helps and saves you having to buy new bras.
Hm, if it’s not affecting your other clothing that you wash in your machine, I don’t think the machine is the problem.
You say you hang them up to dry – if you’re hanging them up in your Basement, that may be the cause, they could be picking up that moldy, musty smell from the dampness in the Basement as they dry.
Try hanging them upstairs or even outside if you can and see if that make’s a difference.
Good luck!
try washing them by hand with bleach , detergant and water. then i would fil your washer with hot water and alot of bleach let it sit for a bit and then run its full cycle it may be your washer needs a good cleaning. gl hun
